City North Zone Education Dept observes World Disabled Day

Mangalore, 10 Dec 2013: Mangalore north zone education department observed World Disabled Day at block education centre, here recently.

 
One-hundred-eight physically challenged students and their parents participated in sports and cultural competitions that were organized on the occasion.

 
The corporator Jayanti Achar presided the valedictory function held at Canara High School auditorium, Urwa here.

 

 
Sr Maria Jyoti delivered a talk on correlated studies on the occasion.

 
Jyothi distributed the prizes to the winners of sports and cultural competitions.

 
The public instructions deputy director Moses Jayashekar, Geeta, Ashok Pandit, Manglaore north high school teachers Association president Praveen Coutinho, Shivaram Thumbay, Diana Lewis, Srinivas Rao were present at the dais.

 
The block education co-ordinator Peetambar K welcomed the gathering.  N B R P High School headmaster Subraya Pai proposed vote of thanks.  Karambar – Government Higher Primary School headmaster Surendranat Shetty compered the programme.
