M’lore: Akashwani, City Announcer Muddu Moodubelle bags National Award

Mangalore, Oct 19, 2013 : Muddu Moodubelle, higher grade announcer of All India Radio (AIR), Mangalore station bagged the second place in All India Annual Competitions – 2012 for his Tulu folk-songs, Pada Pardana Panpana that was composed and presented by him.
The folk-songs has been woven around traditional farming, beauty of peasant girl, farming accessories, birds in order to entertain the rural folks while toiling on the paddy fields. It also exemplified the brotherhood, reverence to mother earth, cultural splendor, historical religious and jest for living.
The conferring of award will be held in New Delhi shortly.
Muddu Moodubelle also bagged top award in the state level AIR playwright competition held in 2009.
