Mangalore, 20 June 2010: ’Coastal Karnataka has been converted into a hiding ground for terrorists, which is affecting the internal security,’ said State BJP Yuva Morcha President Sunil Kumar.
Speaking at the DK district BJP Yuva Morcha Working Committee meeting here on Saturday, he said “the terrorists who killed scientist in Bangalore fled through Mangalore. One of the suspects in Pune blast was arrested from Mangalore airport. We are not making allegations against government. However, some of the organisations have developed close links with these terrorists organisations. The public should be alert and help in containing terrorists activities. We are planning to hold an awareness campaign in Coastal Karnataka to protect the Coast from terrorists in the month of October.”
He said: “We will also create an awareness on Centreal Government’s negligent attitude towards the railway system in the Coast and National Highways, during the campaign.”
Kumar said the Naxals have raised their ugly head in and around Western Ghats.
“Even University lecturers are supporting those Naxals who have taken up arms in the name of social revolution and are involved in snatching away the power,” he alleged.
“The development of the country is not possible unless youths wake up in the country. Corruption has taken the place from Gram Panchayat level to the flood relief fund which was raised to provide rehabilitation facility. The country requires those youths who have the feeling of nationality and patriotism.”
State BJP Yuva Morcha Vice-President Bharath Shetty, DK district President Kishor Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
