Ward and Monti Fest observed in Mother Theresa Ward

Moodubelle, 20 Sep 2013: The feast of Blessed Mother Theresa, the patroness of the Mother Theresa Ward and Monthi Festh were jointly celebrated by the ward members on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 3.30 pm. In the beginning, all those who were present for the feasts offered flowers to Mother Mary and thereafter, the children showered flowers on the statue of Mother Mary.  The passage from the Gospel was read thereafter. Rev. Joswey Fernandes, the parish priest who was present for the programme explained the meaning of the Gospel passage. Following this the Gurkarn of the ward distributed new  paddy to the aeembled ward members.

 

 

Following this the Ward Feast was celebrated. In a brief stage programme, the Gurkarn of the ward welcomed all the assembled guests and ward members. Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes  gave the message of the feast. Mrs. Irene Mathias, the representative of the Small Christian Community  read the report of the ward. Children presented variety entertainment programme. A hymn in honour of Blessed Mother Theresa was also sung at this occasion. The representative of the Ward Mrs. Lydia Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. At the end all the members consumed the new paddy (Novem) with payasam.
