Udupi, 15 Sep 2013: Mother is the replica of our culture. Mother’s womb is sacred. Mother tongue is dearest to other languages. The mother has great honor in our nation. Mother is the first teacher of her baby. The mothers have significant responsibility in culturally upbringing their children. The mother not only has to feed her baby and also educate on cultural living. At the challenging modern times, the mothers have to sustain their motherly duties. The essence of Indian culture lies in respecting the mother in every families, said Swami Esha Vittaladas of Sandhipani Sadanashram, Kemar.
Swami Esha Vittaladas was delivering religious discourse during twenty-fifth public celebration of Ganeshotsav at Mudarangady, near Shirva, here on Thursday September 12.
The contemporary sages and saints in the Indian mythological texts had great respect for their mothers. The enlightenment is the greatest deed than one does for oneself. The enlightened mother can inspire patriotism for greater glory, added Swami Esha Vittaladas.
Dr Ganesh Amin Sankamaar, head of department of Kannada at St Aloysius College, Mangalore in his religious talk, explained the importance of Tulunadu folklore and Ganeshotsav.
The silver jubilee Ganeshotsav Committee president Veerendra Hegde presided the function.
