Udupi: Spoorthidhama Chief Dr Keshava offers motion for Census of Migrant Children

Udupi, 03 Sep, 2013 : Dr Keshava Koteshwar, chief functionary of Spoorthidhama Rehabilitation Centre, Koteshwar, near here offered motion for census of migrant workers children living in tents, who are significant numbers sorting fishes in fisheries ports of Gangolli and Malpe, near here and are also engaged in begging.

 

 

Spoorthidhama aims to bring them back to mainstream of society by providing education, in association with Rotary Club – Tekkatte, Udupi district Taxi men’s  Association, Milagres College department of social work, Kallianpur, Manipal University department of social work, Manipal, Dr A V Baliga College of Social Sciences and Rural development, Harady, Rukmini Shedty Memorial National Government First Grade College department of social work, Barkoor, St Mary’s College department of social work, Shirva, Government College department of social work, Tenkanidiyoor, near here.
