Kundpur, Jul 30 2013: Yoga teaches one to lead healthy and harmonious living in the society, said progressive peasant Katkere Premanand Shetty.
Premanand was speaking after inaugurating Jnana Vikas Yoga camp that was organized at the joint auspices of Jnana Vikas Yoga – Kundapur, Arogya and Samskrutika Vikas Kendra – Brahmavar and Pragati Yuvaka Mandal – Hunsemakki, here on Monday July 29.
The five senses of an individual can be effectively controlled by practicing Yoga that would lead one to achieve spiritual bliss and better personality, said Premanand.
Jnana Vikas Yoga trainer Mukta Mataji in her presidential address said that better family bond is being fostered by practicing Yoga that is integral for wellbeing, shapes better personality and cultural upbringing, said Mataji.
Pragati Yuvak Mandal president Ramesh Shetty, school betterment Committee president Srinivas Prabhu, youth service and sports department officer Dinakar Hegde, Yoga camp overseer Satwady Anil Kumar Shetty was present at the dais.
The Yoga veterans Sitaram Acharya and Lata Ratnakar Shetty shared their experiences with the camp participants.
Sadanand Shanbagh welcomed the gathering. The lecturer Sudhakar Vakwady delivered the introductory address. Pradeep Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Babanna Poojary compered the programme.
