Kundapur, 29 July 2013: A daylong liturgy training camp of Kundapur deanery was held at St Mary’s College auditorium, here on Sunday July 28.
Kundapur – Our Lady of Rosary parish priest Fr Anil D’Souza inaugurated the training camp here on Sunday morning.
Fr Anil, in his inaugural address said that Eucharistic Celebration is a greatest prayer that exemplifies the reflection of Jesus Christ’s life on earth, crucifixion and resurrection, said Fr Anil. He urged the camp participants to learn how to prepare liturgy, in order to partake in Eucharistic Celebrations on Sundays and other days of week, urged Fr Anil.
Bajjody – Mangala Jyoti Centre director Fr Boniface Pinto and designated director Fr Vijay Machado were the resource persons.
Kundapur – Katkare Carmelite Fr Rajesh Madta compered the programme that was organized by Carmelite superior Fr Vincent D’Souza.
Over 100 laities from different parishes of Kundapur deanery attended the camp on the occasion.
Fr Boniface explained the significance of Holy Mass, while Fr Vijay enlightened the participants on word of God.
Fr Vijay explained how to announce the message on the beginning of Mass, how to move in procession, what to carry and what not to carry, Gospel reading mere not reading that should be proclaimed, how to arrange offerings and present, which are the items that can be offered, how to prepare prayers of faithful, how to confess, how to offer Holy Eucharist, how to offer thanksgivings, how choir can be melodious, how not to run soon after Mass, instead greet each other, etc.
Kundapur – St Mary’s College principal Fr Praveen Amrut Martis, resource person Fr Rajesh and Brother Vinod Miranda were present during valedictory ceremony.
