Sagara, Jul 10 : The assembly speaker Kagodu Timmappa urged the department officials and people’s representatives, in order to take early measures before the large scale nature’s fury strikes the localities, as the initial rains have caused widespread damage in all the regions of taluk, urged Kagodu Timmappa.
Timmappa was speaking during the meeting of taluk panchayat and zilla panchayat members, held at MLA’s office located in taluk panchayat complex here on Tuesday July 9.
‘The torrential rains have caused loss of over Rs 60 lac and plans are underway to restore. The losses caused in rural villages are yet to be ascertained,’ said Kagodu Timmappa.
Kagodu Timmappa instructed the officers of ZP engineering division in order to make a report along with pictures on the damage caused to roads, bunds, minor irrigation sources etc in different localities, instructed Kagodu Timmappa.
The zilla panchayat member Lalita Narayan, taluk panchayat president Mahabaleshwar Kugve, vice president Gouramma, zilla panchayat member Ratnakar Honagodu, Sumangala Ramakrishna, Padmavati Chandra Kumar, Lalita Narayan, taluk panchayat members Prakash Lavagere, Jyoti Muralidar, Shyamala Devaraj, Shanmukappa, Shweta Umesh Kagodu, Parvati and others were present at the occasion.
