Legal Awareness Program Held at Hemmady P U College

Kundapur, 16 Jun 2013: The legal awareness is essential for everyone to avoid discord in the neighbourhood, said Bar Association president A Balakrishna Shetty.

 

Shetty was speaking during legal awareness programme held at Janata Pre-University College, Hemmady, near here on Wednesday June 12.  It was jointly organized by taluk legal services Committee, Bar Association, prosecution department, police department, public instructions department, taluk panchayat and child welfare department.

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Maravante gram panchayat former president S Janardhan Maravante said that legal awareness among the students can make its effect among the general public in creating responsible citizens of our country, said Janardhan.

 

The city lawyers K Kusumakar Shetty and K Rajaram Shetty provided legal information on Indian Motor Act and IPC.

 

Kundapur taluk legal services Committee president Srinivas Suvarna flagged off mobile campaign of legal services at the taluk court complex on Wednesday morning.  It passed through Gangolli route to arrive at Janata Pre-University College, Hemmady where the students accorded grand welcome.

 

The College principal C Sitaram Madhyasta, Bar Association secretary K Chandrashekar Shetty was present.

 

The College political science lecturer Sudhakar Vakwady welcomed the gathering.  The economics lecturer Manjunat Chandan compered the programme.  The Bar Association joint secretary Manjunat R Arate proposed vote of thanks.
