Hassan, 21 May 2013: It’s essential to diagnose cancer at the beginning stage, said Government Medical College director Dr Suresh.
Dr Suresh was speaking after inaugurating cancer awareness camp that was organized by gynecologists’ Association, Government Medical College gynecology department and Karnataka chapter of All India women’s cancer surgeons Association at Medical College auditorium, here on Sunday May 19.
Dr Suresh said that the people generally underestimate cancer that it’s not life-threatening issue owing to lack of awareness. ‘The uterus of cancer is found in majority of cases that could be cured in early stages,’ said Dr Suresh.
Dr Sundari, Dr Uma, the district working journalists’ Association president Leelavati, lawyer and writer Banu Mustaq, Dr Girija, Dr Pratiba and others were present at the occasion.
