Mangalore, 18 Apr 2013: J R Lobo, Congress candidate contesting from Mangalore south constituency went on door-to-door assembly election campaign in Trimurti Colony and Green Park layout located at Pandeshwar, here on Wednesday April 17 morning. The positive response from voters was witnessed on door-to-door visits.
J R Lobo accompanied by Congress candidate U T Khader who is contesting from Ullal constituency offered prayer a Sayyed Madani Darga, Ullal at the occasion. Both visited the tomb of the late Congress veteran U T Fareed, father of U T Khader.
U T Khader submitted his nomination papers after the visit to the Darga.
Syed Mohammed Sheriff Ul Madani, chairman of Syed Madani Darga and masjid was present at the occasion.
Addressing the public meeting held at Gatti community auditorium, J R Lobo said that District Congress Committee (DCC) focuses on making the Mangalore a fortress of Congress with the active participation innumerable votes of Dakshina Kannada district. He also assured to address the public grievances at the earliest, said Lobo.
