Grand Shiva Rathri Celebrations at Shrikshetra Adapady

Belman, 12 Mar 2013: Karanika ksetra Karkala Taluk Palli Adapady Uma Maheshwara, Shri Durga Parameshwari temple annual grand celebration of Maha Shiva Rathri concluded on Sunday March 10.

 

 

 

Under the leadership of Pundalika Nayak, the religious head of shri ksetra, and under the guidance of ksetra ritual leads (tantri) Vedamurthy Mygesh Bhat Laxmipura and Vedamurthy Dayanad Bhat Kalladka, religious ceremonies like Laghu Rudrayaga, Maha Pooje, Rajatha Pallaki Utsava, Palla Pooje, Vasantha Pooje, Darshana Seve, Maha Anna Santharpane etc in the morning and at night Maha Ranga Pooje, Maha Bali Utsava for the twin deities and for community deities Nemotsava were held. More than two thousand devotees participated in the religious function.
