Udupi, 14 Jan 2013: A list of 150 BJP candidates contesting for the forthcoming legislative assembly polls is already ready, which would be released in an appropriate time, said state higher education minister C T Ravi.
Addressing the press persons, here on Sunday January 13, the minister C T Ravi said that it was decided to face the polls at the leadership of CM Jagdish Shettar. The name of BJP state president will be announced shortly, added minister Ravi.
The former CMs Devaraj Urs and Njalingappa have launched their regional parties that have not made any impact in state politics. The former CM B S Yeddyurappa had announced that the regional parties pose setbacks to national progress and urged the voters not to support them. However, at the new development, Yeddyurappa has floated his party – Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) and he has to face the consequences, said minister Ravi.
Reacting to KJP leader Dhananjay Kumar’s statement that BJP will face defeat in the forthcoming polls, minister Ravi said that Dhananjay had caused has disgraced BJP by joining KJP. Although Dhanajay hails from a small community, he had become BJP Member of Legislative Assembly four times, MP for one time and represented BJP as cabinet minister in Lok Sabha. Its certain that KJP will face utter defeat in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts, said minister Ravi.
Our goal is not to let Congress to reign in state, and we will have no competition among KJP and other parties, stressed minister Ravi.
