Taccode, 19 May 2012: Ever since the founding of the Adarsh High School for 30 years (i.e. in 1981) last year 2011 has made a historical record by obtaining 100% result in SSLC public examination held by the government of Karnataka. This year i.e. 2012 again Adarsh High School, Taccode has obtained 100% result in SSLC public examination.
Though this school was founded with a primaryaim to educate the rural village children of Taccode surroundings, the school had to go a long way of 30 years to get this honor of 100% result for the first time in the history of Adarsh High School last year. All should remember that after founding the school for thirty years this honor for the first time, last year, has not come automatically. There is definitely hard work, loss of sleep and sweat of the brow of many persons behind this success story which bore 100% result in SSLC examination.
The Correspondent Rev. Dr. Mark Castelino who came to Taccode in May 2009 had aimed very high to get this 100% result at Adarsh High School. Ever since he took charge of this school as Correspondent for almost three years back, he was always instructing and guiding the Headmistress and the staff to aim always high. He was at the beck and call of the teaching staff to aim always high. His high aim of obtaining 100% result in SSLC exam in a village school is a crowning glory to Adarsh High School, Taccode.
As per the guidance and encouragement of the Correspondent, the school staff also took it as a challenge for the past three years by taking extra teaching classes beginning from June itself. One month before the exam the school staff also began to reside in the school and began to give special classes even at late evening. It was a laborious task to provide evening tea, eatables, night meals, morning breakfast and lunch to the weak students in study. The Headmistress along with the staff took a lot of pain to guide the students who were preparing to attend the SSLC examination.
This year in 2012 again Adarsh High School secured 100% result in the SSLC examinations. Most of the children who attend this school are still coming from economically backward area where the minimum basic facilities are also not available even in this 21st century!
