Bantakal, Shirva, 24 April 2012: Bantakal Anganavadi Centre which had received the state award, is renovated with the improvised facility from the rupees one lakh grant allotted by the Karnataka Government Children Development Department, has been inaugurated by Udupi Taluk Panchayath President Kattingeri Devadasa Hebbar, by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion Devadasa Hebbar said that, the renovation of the Anganavadi with the improved facilities has been a example to the other Anganabadi centers.
Shirva Grama Panchayath President Vanita Kamalaksha Shenoy handed the dining plates from Anganavadi Teacher Vinaya and appreciated the achievements of Bantakal Anganavadi Centre which brought fame to Shirva Grama. Chief Guests of the inaugural program Shirva Grama Panchayath Development Officer Malathi and Bantakal School Headmaster N. Radhakrishna Prabhu conveyed best wishes.
On this occasion Bantakal School Retired Headmaster B. Anantharama Bhat, Anganavadi building renovation contractor Santhosh Kumar Udyavara were felicitated on behalf of the Balavikasa Samithi. The program was presided over by Samithi President K.R. Patkar, who welcomed the guests and the gathering. Anganavadi Assistant Vinaya proposed vote of thanks.
In the program, from the Sthreeshakti Sangha Sangeetha Patkar, Mallika Acharya, Kumari Saraswathi, Sandhya Acharya, Retired Assistant Sundari Kulal, Sumana Sudhir bhat, Rama Devendra Nayak were present.
