Belman, 10 April 2012: On the occasion of completing the 40 years of professional career and retiring in the month of April, Teacher Sevrine Mendonsa was given a warm send-off by the School Management Committee along with the Teachers, Students and Parents. The program was presided over by the Correspondent of the School and Parish Priest of Belman Church Rev. Fr. Lawrence B. D’Souza, who spoke on the occasion and said that, the teachers who enlighten the knowledge of the children’s future, are always respected in the society. Retirement is common in any profession, the service satisfaction will always gives mental joy. Teaching is the only profession which gets the love and respect from the vast number of students throughout the life. The role of the teachers in this Institution which is 118 years old is most crucial, he said.
On behalf of the Public Education Department Belman zone Education Coordinator Shailaja Hegde, Nandalike Nitte Cluster Director Karunakara Poojary, Church Pastoral Council Vice President Gregory Meneges, School Student leader Henzita Rebello conveyed good wishes. Sr. Daisy read the felicitation letter. On the dias Grama Panchayath Member Geetha Prabhu, High School Headmistress Renilda Peirera, Church Pastoral Council Secretary Lydia Aranha, Don Bosco Convent Superior Sr. Grecy D’Souza were present.
On this occasion the 61st birthday of Fr. Lawrence was celebrated in the presence of his mother. School Headmistress Sr. Monica Monteiro welcomed the guests and the gathering. B.
