Palli, 07 March 2012: On behalf of Shri Kshethra Adapadi Shri Umamaheshwara Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple in Palli, Karkala Taluk, on the 10th year, Temple Trustee Pundalika Nayak distributed the uniforms to the poor children of 8 schools of the surrounding areas, on Monday. The religious program was held in the temple, which was presided over by Udupi Municipal Commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, who upon inaugurating it by lighting the lamp said that, there are continuous development works taking place in the Shri Kshethra and through the Temple Trustee the Annadana, uniform distribution, help in medical treatment to poor and other such works are the witness for the sacredness of this Shri Kshethra, he said.
Chief guest of the program Mangalore Costal Protection Force Inspector Mukunda Nayak said that the development of the Kshethra means the rebirth of the religion. In the program the school children and teachers of Palli, Dadabettu, Kapikadu, Ninjoor, Mutlupadi, Belman Punarukare, Udupi entrepreneur Shrisha Nayak, Kukkikatte Manjunath Nayak, Ramadas Dondye, Vijayananda Nayak, Devdas Patkar, Bhaskar Shetty Hiriyadka were present. Archaka Vishnuprasad Bhat welcomed. Hariprasad Bhat and Ravichandra Bhat conducted prayers. Teacher Umesh Nayak compeered the program. Hariprasad Bhat proposed vote of thanks.
