Shirva, 05 February 2012: The influence of TV, mobile and internet has exceeded on the delicate minds of the children and they are getting attracted towards the western culture. Girls who are the symbol of our culture are missing or surrendering to suicide shows the adversity of the value of life, said Shree Mohanadasa Paramahamsa Swameeji from Shridhama Manila.
He called upon the mothers to draw the attention of the children towards the culture and principles of the country and save them from the electronic media. Shree was speaking during his asheervachana in the Samoohika Sathyanarayana Pooja religious ceremony conducted by Shirva Sarwajanic Shri Ganeshotsava Samiti on Saturday. He said, in giving the spiritual guidance and the cultures of the elders and religious scholars, the role of mother is crucial.
The program was presided over by Shirva M.S.R.S. College Principal Dr. Sudhakara Marla. On this occasion Kumari Seethalxmi who secured First Rank in B. Com examinations was honoured by Shree. On the dias Vedamurthy Kuthyaru Kenja Shridhara Thantri and Samiti Vice President Thammanna Poojary were present.
Samiti President K. Sundara Prabhu welcomed the guests and the gathering. Secretary K. Ravindra Shetty read the report. Mahila Mandali President Babita Aras, Treasurer K. Shrinivasa and Jayaprakash Suvarna welcomed the guests with flower bouquets. Meghashree conducted prayers. The program was compeered by H.S. Gopal and Anantha Moodittaya. Retired Lecturer Sadashiva proposed vote of thanks.
In the morning 9th year Samoohika Shree Ashwatha Pooje was conducted. In the evening Poornachandra Yakshagana mela Kumbashi conducted “Dakshayajna” yakshagana bayalata.
