Shirva, 24 January 2012: The enthusiasm of the young leaders and timely response from the Department and Jilla Panchayath, beginning the work within one week in the financial year, the efforts of Sudarshana Rao who played the prime role in having the well-equipped Anganavadi Building ready today, which is really appreciable, when there is courage and will power any work can be completed successfully, said Udupi Jilla Panchayath President Katapadi Shankara Poojary.
He was speaking upon inaugurating the well-equipped Anganavadi building in Kurkalu Kunajarugiri. Speaking further he said that, he will provide the grant of rupees 2 lakhs from the Jilla Panchayath President’s fund for the greenery of the surroundings and the road construction.
Inaugurating the children’s playground Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon spoke and said that, with the Chief Minister’s special grants road and other developments will be taking place in this place which is birth place of Acharya Madhwa and the place of Shree Durge, Parashurama. Among the eight Asta Mutts four Mutts are in Kaup constituency and in the recent days many development works have taken place, he said.
Chief Guests present in the program include; Taluk Panchayath President Devadasa Hebbar, Jilla Panchayath Member Ida Gibba D’Souza, Taluk Panchayath Member Precilla D’Mello, Kurkalu Grama Panchayath Vice President Shashidhara Salmara, Udupi Children Development Officer Sadananda Nayak, Former Taluk Panchayath Member Naveen Amin, Teacher’s Co-operative Bank President Kurkalu Dinakara Shetty.
Kunjaru School Chief Teacher Sudhakara Shetty in his introductory note briefed on the background of the Anganavadi. The program was presided over by Kurkalu Grama Panchayath President Akkani. Grama Panchayath Members; Giridhar Aythal, Raghava Shetty, Rajani Rao, Anita, Sathish Shetty and Naveen Kumar welcomed the guests with flower bouquets.
Grama Panchayath Former President Kurkalu Shivarama Shetty welcomed the guests and the gathering. Anganavadi Teacher Kavita conducted prayers. Parthasarathi compeered the program. Grama Panchayath Development Officer Keshava Serigara proposed vote of thanks.
