Shirva, 11 December 2011: If the basic education is given to the children in the mother tongue Kannada, then the traditional folk culture of land and language remains and it will be possible for the relationships to remain, said Entrepreneur Nityananda Hegde of Shirva Nadibettu family. He was speaking upon inauguration of the five computer facilities provided by Infosys Company. Speaking further he said that, with the influence of the English Medium School the Kannada Schools are closing down, which is a tragedy of our place, he said.
The program was presided over by Senior Lawyer of Udupi Mattaru Ratnakara Hegde. Kalattoor Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple Former Managing Trustee Kuthyaru Krishnamurthy Bhat, Retired Headmaster K. Shrinivasa Rao, Kuthyaru Prasad Shetty, Sathish Shetty, Praveen Bhandary, Narayana Nayak and Gopal were present on the occasion.
School Headmaster Bantakal Ramanatha Patkar welcomed the guests and the gathering. School Development committee President Kenja Shridhar Tantri in his introductory note remembered the achievement of the School and the contribution of the Old Students and said that the arrangements will be made for the Instructors for providing the free computer training. Sathish Kuthyaru compeered the program. Treasurer Naveen Shetty Kuthyaru proposed vote of thanks. Children conducted cultural programs.
