Brahmavara, 10 December 2011: The name of Daniel Monthero is registered in Indian Book of Records and Asian Book of Records on Thursday for the collection of maximum number of Postal Stamps on Birds. With this it is just one more step left for him to get into Guinness Book of Records. He had conducted the exhibition of his collection of more than 5000 postal stamps of birds on Wednesday and Thursday at St. Mary’s Syrian college to break the Indian and Asian Records.
Representative of Indian and Asian Book of Records Dr. Ramachandra J.S. announced that Monthero has broken the Indian and Asian records and has created a new record. The exhibition was conducted as per the 20 guidelines of the Guinness Organization, hence his name will be registered also in Guinness Record Book, he said in the concluding program on Thursday.
On this occasion Kudremukh Wildlife Karkala Division Deputy Preservation Officer Prakash S. Netalkar, College Correspondent Very Rev. Ramban Scariya, College Principal Prof. K. Narayan, Brahmavara Sports Club President Prakash Tolar and Udupi Stamp Collectors Association President Vittaldas Shyanubhag were present.
