Udupi: Parents accuse son-in-law for death of daughter

Udupi, 26 November 2011: Parents from Karkala have accused their son-in-law for the unnatural death of their daughter in Hubli, they accuse that her husband has killed her. The deceased Asma (24) is the daughter of Umarabba from Kukkundur Grama of Karkala. She was married to Sajid a resident near old bus stand in Ananda Nagara, Hubli, five years ago and they have two children.

On Wednesday Sajid told to the Parents that Asma has consumed poison and has killed herself. The parents went to Hubli and took the dead body of their daughter to Udupi and conducted post mortem in district hospital and at that time Sajid was also present.

Later Umarabba has registered complaint at City Police Station that their son-in-law has killed their daughter for the sake of dowry.
Accordingly the Police have taken Sajid into their custody. Umarabba has also accused that Sajid used to beat and hurt his wife for dowry previously.
