Kaup, 15 November 2011: Children’s day was celebrated in Kaup Vidyaniketana on Monday in a special way and the children were themselves were the guests. Usually in most of the functions it is the practice of the politicians and leaders of the community giving long speeches on the stage. But in the Vidyaniketana the young children shined on the stage. The inauguration of the function, chief guest, presiding over the function and even the speeches, all these were conducted by the children themselves, thus giving a meaning to the children’s day.
Especially the invited guests and dignitaries had to seat in the front row of the audiences and had to watch and listen to the children as the children themselves were the guests. In the programs which took place for about one and half hour, the children themselves gave away the prizes in the various competitions and congratulated the winners. Giving the guest speech on the stage the children briefed on idealism on the life of Pandit Javaharalal Nehru and the significance of the children’s day.
Under the direction of School Correspondent K.P. Acharya, on the children’s day, the teachers conducted all the programs including various cultural programs. On the dias Student Leader Ajesh presided over the function. Other student leaders Glanesh, Shahil, Ratankanth, Prajna and Disha were the chief guests and the program was inaugurated by releasing the balloons. Geetha Shetty welcomed, Vani compeered the program and Chetan proposed vote of thanks.
