Shirva, 05 Sept 2011: At a function organised at Shirva grama panchayath, a fully equipped ambulance and a refrigerated coffin donated by Mr Manohara Shetty, a Shirva hotelier and Mr Ratnakara Shetty Kollabettu Araimane, a business man from the Gulf respectively, was inaugurated by local business executive Mr Shambhu Shetty recently. These facilities will be available for all the Shirva grama panchayath residents free of cost and all the maintenance and operational costs are taken care of by Mr Manohara Shetty.
Speaking on this occasion Mr Anantharaya Shenoy, a local social worker, encouraged the people of Shirva grama panchayath to make maximum use of these facilities and save peoples’ lives. He also informed the people that the local drivers have offered their services free of cost whenever they are called to operate these facilities.
Shirva Public Ganeshostava committee president Mr Sundara Prabhu, archaka Shri Kenja Sridhar Tantry, ambulance donor Mr Manohara Shetty and mahila mandala president Ms Babita Urs were present on the dais.
