Bangalore, 23 August 2011: A Lokayukta court today issued summons to former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and nine others on a private complaint against him in connection with alleged irregularities in land denotification.
Lokayukta special court judge N K Sudhindhra Rao issued summons to Yeddyurappa, his sons B Y Raghavendra (MP) and B Y Vijayendra, son-in-law R N Sohan Kumar, Hemachandra Sagar (MLA), former housing minister S N Krishnaiah Setty and four others.
All of them have been asked to appear before the court on August 29.
This is the second summons being issued by Lokayukta after the one on August 8 in connection with a private complaint, also filed by advocate Sirajin Basha.
Basha has filed a total of five complaints before the Lokayukta court, comprising 15 cases.
The court on August 8 had issued summons to Yeddyurappa and 14 others in one of the complaints in which they have been asked to appear on August 27.
The summons came on the complaint alleging denotification of land acquired by Bangalore Development Authority, including 10 acres in Uttarahalli in Bangalore South taluk favouring Hemachandra Sagar, resulting in alleged loss of about Rs 175 crore to the government.
