Udupi, 21 August 2011: I have not yet thought about getting elected for Vidhana Sabha or Vidhana Parishat, there is still 6 months time for that, said Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda (DVS). He has indicated that he will not be resigning his position in Loksabha in Udupi – Chickmagalur constituency. After becoming the Chief Minister of Karnataka State, he arrived to Udupi for the first time and was speaking to the press reporters.
The news that I am trying to get elected for Vidhana Parishat and for that I am talking to the leaders of the party, is baseless, he said. Regarding the former Chief Minister Yediyurappa’s earlier statement that he will again become the chief minister within 6 months, I will not respond, that has to be only asked to him. I have decided to respond only to the talks of people and not to the statements of anybody else, he said.
When he was asked regarding the inclusion of accused MLA’s into the 3rd stage expansion of cabinet, he said that, it will be discussed with the party leaders and decided. Regarding the opposition parties not attending the tea party organized by him, he said that, perhaps they must have been busy with the work so they have not come, I will invite them again and let us see whether they will come or not, he said.
