Manipal ,11 July 1011: From the construction site of Dr. K. Shivarama Karanth Kalagrama Suvarna Sanskriti Samuchaya, in Manipal, soil is being stolen in broad day light. In the last 3 – 4 days without permission illegally hundreds of loads of soil has been transported out, digging by the JCB and filling into the lorries.
As per the complaint given by the Deputy Director of Kannada and Sanskriti Department S. H. Shivarudrappa, Manipal Police have visited the spot and stopped the work. Police have found out that the illegally shifted soil is being used by a young politician for the construction of his house in Udupi. The case has been registered in the Manipal police station.
Padubidri: Girl kills herself for failing is P.U.C. exams
Yet another victim to the demon called exams in Udupi district. Akshatha a 17 year old girl failed in 1st P.U.C. exams. She then stayed home since 4 – 5 months and was doing the work of wrapping the beedis at home. But still the pain of failing in the exams did not go away. With this reason on Saturday when her father and mother went to the fields for the work she took pesticides to kill herself.
When her parents came back she was suffering intensively, learning that she has taken pesticides they immediately took her to A.J. Hospital Mangalore and admitted her. But she did not survive and died in the afternoon. As per complaint given by her father Sundara Moolya, the case of unnatural death has been registered at Padubidri Police station.
Brahmavara: Aged person kills himself
An aged person killed himself in Haluvalli Grama on Friday night. The deceased is Shiva Marakala (75) a resident of 5 cents area. He was seriously suffering from Asthma. Unable to bear the difficulties he consumed poison and killed himself. As per the complaint given by his daughter-in-law Poornima, the case of unnatural death has been registered in Brahmavara Police station.
