Shirva: A middle aged man committed suicide by consuming poison in Helehithlu of Shirva Grama. Stanley Corda (48) having alcohol addiction, was in financial difficulties. Disgusted in his life on June 5th night at 9.00 pm while going home, on the way he consumed poison. Seeing this people admitted him to Ajjarkad Hospital, but died on Monday. As per the complaint given by his relative Lancy Corda, the case is registered in Shirva Police Station.

 

Manipal: An incident of a woman along with her child killed themselves keeping their heads under the railway bridge on Sunday night. But more details on the deceased are not known said the Police. The dead woman’s body was in the west side of the railway track. Her face was completely smashed, hands and legs were broken. Her age could be around 25 years. From her body about 50 feet away the child’s body is found. The case is registered in Manipal Police Station.

 

Manipal: In Alevoor High School cycle stand a youth committed suicide by hanging on Sunday night. The deceased is Suresh Acharya (28) a resident of Society Colony, has studied MBA and recently working as Medical Representative. On Sunday evening at 5.30 pm he left home saying he will be back soon, he is usually coming home by 7.00 pm but did not come until 8.30 so everyone started looking for him.

 

At 11.30 pm his bike is found near Mudu Alevoor Neharu High School. After searching further, he was found killed himself by hanging in the cycle stand. It was told that love affair is the reason behind this suicide. As per the complaint given by his relative Ramesh Acharya a case is registered in Manipal Police Station.

 

Brahmavar: A case of a married woman running away with a youth to Mumbai on Sunday in Haluvalli Grama, has been registered. The missing woman is Vinoda (23) wife of Vijaya Kulal. She and her neighbour Sudip had intimacy. Sudip went to Mumbai on Sunday and on the same day Vinoda is missing. Vijay Kulal has given the complaint that they both might have gone together and accordingly the case has been registered in Brahmavar Police Station.

 

Baindur: A youth died by drowning in river in Koderi Grama, Baindur on Sunday evening. The deceased is Sanjaya (21) a resident of Yojananagara of Yedthere Grama. In the evening at 4.00 pm he loaded the sand in his tempo 407 at Yedthere river and then while he was washing his hands and feet, he accidentally slipped and fell into the river and unable to come out he got drowned. As per the complaint given by his brother Dharma Poojary, a case is registered in Baindur Police Station.
