Bangalore: Notice to Anil Kumble’s wife

Bangalore, 02 June 2011: The High Court on Tuesday admitted the appeal filed by Kumar Jagirdar, divorced husband of Chetana, cricketer Anil Kumble’s wife seeking custody of his daughter and issued notices to Chetana.

 

In his petition, Jagirdar has contended that his daughter needs to be monitored and guided properly as she is a teenager and only a loving father can do that.

 

As Chetana Kumble has two more children from her second marriage, she will be too busy to take care of his daughter, he argued.

 

The division bench consisting of Justice N K Patil and Justice Arali Nagaraj admitted the petition and issued notice to Chetana Kumble.

 

The bench also sought the records related to the case from the lower court which had given the custody of the child to Chetana Kumble.
