Udupi: Shirva Gram Panchayat former president Anusuya Mahalinga (85) passes away

Udupi, 08 Jun: Eighty-five-year-old Anusuya Mahalinga, retired head teacher of Mitrabettu Government School, near here and former president of Shirva gram panchayat passed at her residence in Bantakal, near here, owing to brief illness on Thursday, June 6 night.

 

 

She served as honorary treasurer of Kaup taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat and was well known for her social concern.

 

She is survived by son Satyasaiprasad, who is serving as a teacher at Manipal – Rajeev Nagar Government High School and daughter.

 

Kaup former MLA Vinayakumar Sorake, Bharat Seva Dal Udupi district unit convener Fakirappa Gowda, ZP Wilson Rodrigues, Shirva gram panchayat member Ramaraya Patkar, Kaup taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat president B Pundalika Marate, K Srinivas Rao, Shirva Teachers Co-op Bank deputy chairman Sunder Master and others visited the family to pay tributes to Anusuya.
