Mangaluru: Karavali Utsav-2017 scheduled from Dec 22 to 31

Mangaluru, 23 Nov 2017: Karavali Utsav will be held here from December 22 to December 31, 2017, said DK district DC Dr Sasikumar Sentil.

 

Dr Sentil was speaking during the meeting of Karavali Utsav Committee held here, on Thursday, November 23.

 

 

He said that Karavali Utsav should depict the culture of coastal district by involving every community in the society. Karavali Utsav will mark the colorful procession of tableaus, depicting rich culture, from Nehru maidan to Karavali Utsav grounds at Lalbagh, here on December 22. Ten-day cultural shows will be held at Lalbagh and Kadri Park, here, for 10 days, this year, said DC.

 

He also said that the local folk artistes and dancers will be given prominence at the cultural shows, while both national and international artistes will also showcase their arts.

 

Panambur Beach Utsav will be held from December 29 to December 31, added DC.

 

ZP CEO Dr M R Ravi, ADC Kumar, municipal commissioner Mohammed Nazeer, officers of different departments, office bearers of sub-Committees were present.
