Mangaluru: MLA Moideen Bawa to explore laying service road from Suratkal to Pumpwell

Mangaluru, 18 Oct 2017: The demand for laying service road along Suratkal – Mangaluru is rising as the traffic snarls are daily phenomena. At this backdrop, the office bearers of Nagarika Samiti of Mangaluru taluk met MLA Moideen Bawa at his residence, here on Tuesday, October 17, to convince about the traffic congestion prevailing on highway along Suratkal to Pumpwell.
The office bearers of Nagarika Samiti urged MLA Bawa to effectively utilize Rs 275 crore sanctioned by state administration to lay service road in 25 districts of Karnataka.
He assured the office bearers that he will discuss the issue with additional chief secretary who is entrusted with this project in executing the road works.
He further said, LPG tankers, trailers, multi-axled trucks that ply from MRPL can take this route, thereby avoiding traffic congestion on highway.
Nagarika Samiti president Subaschandra Shetty Hosabettu, vice president Purshparaj Shetty Kudumboor B N, Sanil, Abdul Hameed Kana, secretaries T N Raghavendra, Balakrishna Shetty K and Yashwant Shetty, treasurer Ramesh Suratkal, director Dr Gururaj, Ullas Shetty Permude, Leeladar Shetty Katla, Suresh Nayak, M Balakrishna Shetty, Chandrahas Rai, Rocky Pinto, Pushparaj Shetty Madya, Sadashiv Shetty Hosabettu and others were present.
