Bajrang Dal to hold protests to condemn unpleasant incident during procession

Byndoor, 26 Aug 2017: Hindu outfit Bajrang Dal will stage protest on August 28 in Byndoor to condemn an unpleasant incident occurred during the procession of Lord Ganesha idol in Byndoor on Friday. The decision to hold protests came after a minor quarrel broke out between the youths of two different communities during Ganeshotsava procession at Jogur in Byndoor on August 25.

 

The unpleasant incident reportedly occurred when a group of youths Younus, Samir, Faeek, Ilyas Usman Saheb, Yasin, Samil and other stopped the procession of Lord Ganesha idol on a public road near Bukari colony mosque, Shiroor when the idol was being brought to Shankernarayana temple premises in Jogur from Venkatramana temple, Dasavadi. The youths reportedly threatened the festival organizers not to hold procession on the road showing stones, foot wears and others. A case stands registered at Byndoor police station following a complaint from Ganeshotsava Samiti President Vinayak Jogur.
