Udupi Asst. DC asks students to utilise World Class facilities of Netrajyothi

Udupi, 31 Jul 2017: Orientation programme for the new batch of Netrajyothi College of Optometry, an associate institution of Prasad Netralaya, Super Specialty Eye Hospital, Udupi held recently in the college in the presence of dignitaries. Dr. Krishna Prasad K, Chairman, Prasad Netralaya Group gave detailed information on his career and establishments run by him. He also asked his students to utilise the world facilities being provided by his establishments.
Chief Guest of the event Anuradha G, Assistant District Commissioner, Udupi said, “Dr. Krishna Prasad worked at Udupi general hospital and he knows the problems of the people to get better treatment for their health related issues.”
Anuradha G told the students to serve the people in villages after their graduation akin to Dr. Krishna Prasad who has been organising eye camps at free of cost in rural areas for the patients from weak financial background.
“Being the Chairman of ‘Vision Committee’ setup by Government of Karnataka, Dr. Krishna Prasad is on his mission to prepare certain rules and regulations to hold a free eye test campaign for all school children in Karnataka,” she added. She also asked the students of the college to work hard to achieve significant milestones as the infrastructure provided by Prasad Netralaya to its students is best of its standards in the world.
Assistant District Commissioner congratulated Dr. Krishna Prasad for providing quality education to the students who pursuing BSc (Optometry- affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Health University) and DOT (affiliated to Para Medical Board, Government of Karnataka).
Raghuram Rao, Director, Prasad Netralaya, Netra Jyothi College Principal Poornima gave detailed description about the courses and their scope in the present corporate sector. Abdul Khader who worked to commission the college was felicitated in the event for his efforts to start the college.
