Poetry relaxes mind & improves health - Ganesh Gangolli

Karkala, 06 Jul 2017: Our health depends on environment. The mother tongue promotes cultural upbringing. The literature enhances our knowledge. The poetry brings joy and improves thinking. All this contribute for total wellbeing, said renowned folk artiste Ganesh Gangolli.
Ganesh was speaking during installation ceremony of Kannada literary union of St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Belman, near here, on Tuesday, July 4.
If the children are inspired to take interest in Kannada literature in their primary classes, it would help to sustain Kannada culture, said Ganesh. He also sang the poetry of Kannada’s renowned poets to motivate the students on the occasion.
The senior journalist Shekar Ajakarwas the chief guest said that Kannada literary unions in schools provide platform to students in exhibiting their inherent talent.
Karkala taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Prabhakar Shetty Kondalli, senior teacher Vincent Pinto, literary union vice presidents Sinchana Sharma and Disha U Shetty were present.
The literary union president Sudhiksha appealed all the students to partake in literary union.
The past secretary Nita Nayak welcomed the gathering. The teacher Divya was present. The new secretary Srusti Shetty proposed vote of thanks. The literary union convener Pundalika compered the programme.
