Marauding fisheries truck collides with motorcycle at Kalladka

Bantwal, 12 May 2017: A motorcyclist and his 2 pillion riders, members of same family were killed in a head-on collision with a fisheries truck at Kalladka, near here, on Thursday, May 11 at 2.30am.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Harish Naik, son of Eshwar Naik, resident of Palya in Peraje gram panchayat, 38-year-old Narayan, resident of Swarga, Puttur, brother-in-law of Eshar and 12-year-old Vishwas, son of Eshwar.
They were returning after attending annual religious celebrations at Eshar temple, Kabakar, Karkala, when their motorcycle collided with marauding fisheries truck plying from Mani towards Mangaluru.
Both bike riders Harish and pillion Vishwas died on the spot, while another pillion rider who was critically injured breathed his last en route to Narayan Hospital, informed the sources.
Bantwal circle inspector Manjayya, rural sub-inspector Rakshit Gowda, traffic policemen from both town and rural police station managed to restore the traffic.
Bantwal traffic police registered a case in this regard.
