Alma Mater of Belman parish school donate School Bus

Karkala, 04 May 2017: The early schooling determines the future of a student. Nonetheless, it’s impossible to repay the debt of teachers and school. It’s the great honor for alumni to attend the function that was organized by their former school, said Daijiworld Media Private Limited CEO Walter Nandalike.

 

Walter was speaking after inaugurating Reunion of Alma Mater -2017 that was organized by St Joseph Higher Primary School, Belman, near here on Wednesday, May 3. It was organized to mark the 120th celebration of St Joseph’s education institutions, Belman at Fr Nicholas Corneiro auditorium.

 

 

He reminisced his childhood days at the school and appealed to fellow alumnus to pool their resources in providing basic amenities at the school.

 

Mukamar parish priest Fr Louis D’Sa, Belman parish priest and St Joseph’s education institutions former correspondent Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, lauded the contributions of Alma Mater.

 

A school bus at the cost of Rs 16 lac was donated by Alma Mater during the valedictory function. They keys of the bus was presented to St Joseph’s education institutions correspondent Fr Sunil Joseph Veigas, on the occasion.

 

Alma Mater president Gregory Menezes presided the programme.

 

Sr Supriya, principal of Carmel College, Modankap, Bantwal; entrepreneur Devendra Shetty Belman, Gerald D’Souza Bengaluru, Uday Kundar Belman, convent superior Sr Usha Stella, Lidia Aranha, Xavier D’Mello were the chief guests of the occasion.

 

B Pundalika Marate and Vincent Pinto compered the programme. Belman parish council vice president Alwyn Ageira proposed vote of thanks.

 

The theater troupe – Chaitanya Kalavidaru, Bailoor presented Tulu social play, Star, as part of entertainment programme.
