Manipal University Signs MoU with CIHC, Canada

Manipal, 03 May 2017: Manipal University and the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (CIHC), Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding for designing and developing interprofessional initiatives here at the University on Tuesday.

 

 

Dr. John H V Gilbert, Founding Director of CIHC, in his speech lauded the efforts of Manipal University for being the pioneers in the field of interprofessional education in this region. He commended Manipal University on its vision to develop the FAIMER International Institute for Interprofessional education and practice (MUFIILIPE). Vice Chancellor Manipal University, Dr H. Vinod Bhat was the University signatory.

 

The residential session of MUFIILIPE began here on Sunday. Dr. Ciraj AM, Course Director, MUFIILIPE welcomed the gathering and highlighted the various activities undertaken by the institute towards enhancing interprofessional education focused on achieving patient centered collaborative practice. The residential session was inaugurated by Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, who emphasized the need for developing partnerships for resource-sharing in order to enhancehealth outcomes.
