SKDRP aims for integral growth of society – Malati Dinesh

Udupi, 01 May 2017: Sri Kshetra Dharmastala Rural Development Project was successful in empowering the poor since 35 years by forming self-help-groups that enabled them to lead self sufficient living, said SKDRDP Udupi taluk project officer Malati Dinesh.
Malati was speaking during the induction ceremony of Pragatibandu self-help-groups Federation, Bantakal and 92 Heroor, during the function held at Durgaparameshwari temple auditorium, Bantakal, near here, on Saturday, April 29.
The resource person B Pundalika Marate said that the rural women who formed self-help-groups across the state, sponsored by SKDRDP are torchbearers of change in society. It has given them economical freedom and decent living.
Durgaparameshwari temple governing council president Gampadabail Jayaram Prabhu Sooda presided the programme.
K R Patkar, Majoor gram panchayat former president Ganesh Shetty Heroor, TP member Geeta Wagle, SKDRDP Shirva zonal president Suma U Shetty conveyed best wishes.
The past president Shobha R Patkar, Pratibha H Acharya, new president Sukesh Valadoor, Sukanya Heroor also spoke on the occasion.
