Dakshina Kannada MP Urges Union Govt Not to Implement Kasturirangan Report

Mangaluru, 25 Mar 2017: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has urged the union government to withdraw the notification prepared to implement Kasturirangan Report in Karnataka state. Speaking in the Lok Sabha session, the MP said that Karnataka people have been opposing the implementation of the report after the union government started to plan to implement the report.
If the report implemented then, 1576 villages of 10 district spread on an area of 20,668 square kilometer will come under report and no development works could possible in the area, once the report is implemented. Construction of schools, clinics, agriculture and others aren’t possible in the area once the report is comes into force in the area mentioned in the report, Nalin said.
