Bantwal: General life disrupted owing to DK Bundh against Kerala CM

Bantwal, 26 Feb 2017: The general life was disrupted and the incidents of widespread damage to public property was reported on Saturday, February 25, owing to the protest call given by Hindu communal outfits, opposing Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan arriving in Mangaluru to address huge gathering of CPI (M).

 

 

The miscreants in most communally-sensitive areas across taluk pelted stones on passing vehicles, burnt tyres on middle of roads an d also set ablaze a truck that was owned by Abubakker Haji parked besides the road at Okkettoor, near Vittal, here. The fire brigade rushed to the spot and managed to contain the fire.

 

A few private buses were plying on the roads with a few passengers. The security was beefed up in all key locations to avoid any untoward incidents. The police also arrested a few miscreants who caused law and order disturbances.
