Mangaluru: CCB Police arrest 6 Habitual Criminals for planning robbery, murder
Mangaluru, 20 Feb 2017: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested 6 habitual criminals for preparing sketches for a murder and to rob the rich in Mangaluru city. The six accused have been arrested along with two pistols, seven active munitions, 2 knives, 3 hand phones, a Maruti Swift car and an autorickshaw. The accused were sketching plans their criminal activities at Tannirbhavi beach in Mangaluru very recently.

The arrested have been identified as Krishnapura residents Safuan Hussain, (33), Mohammed Faizal Ibrahim Sheikh (33), Yemmekere resident Don Nazir (34), Mukka Surathkal resident Shamsuddin (27), Ummar Faruk (25) and Mohammed Ansar (30) of Ullal. Some of the accused have just released from prison. The police have arrested the accused on an information received when the six member team was sketching for a murder and robbery at a Maruti Swit Car and an Autorickshaw.
As many as 23 police cases including murder, murder attempt, robbery and others have been registered against Safuan Hussain and he was released from jail nearly 60 days earlier. Mohammed Faizal is also accused in 8 criminal cases including robbery, murder attempt. Shamsuddin, the fourth accused in the case has also accused in 8 cases including murder, murder attempt and others. The 6th accused in the case, Mohammed Ansar doesn’t has any previous criminal record and he has been identified as a companion of other five criminals arrested.
