Udupi: Compassionate Friends Association® launched at Mudarangady

Udupi, 31 Dec 2016: There are pros and cons for social service. There are critics and beneficiaries. One gets inclined for social work because of compassion for human suffering. The serving humanity is indeed noble deed. It also gets fame, while it’s essential to maintain transparency in social service, said Karnataka legislative council chief whip Ivan D’Souza.
Ivan was speaking after launching the newly-formed Compassionate Friends Association® at Mudarangady, during the function held at Mudarangady parish hall, near here on Friday, December 30.
‘Our duty should to pay the debt of hometown by contributing mite of service. Meanwhile, one finds success when our thoughts are focused on set goals in life,’ said Ivan.
Fr Vincent D’Souza, parish priest of Bela in Kasargod, S S Idris, Mudaris of Sunni Jamia masjid, Mudarangady, Santoor – St Luke’s assistant parish priest Fr Dilan, ZP member Wilson Rodrigues were the chief guests conveyed best wishes.
Kaup block Congress president Navinchandra Shetty presided the programme.
Compassionate Friends Association® president Raphael Mathias welcomed the gathering and delivered preliminary address. The secretary Anil Noronha was present at the dais. The vice president Michael Ramesh D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. The teacher Sudhakar Shenoy compered the programme.
