Varsities of Manipal, Japan and Malaysia to jointly organize ICCMEH - 2016

Manipal, 13 Dec 2016: The third International Conference on Computational Methods in Engineering and Health Sciences (ICCMEH 2016) will be jointly organized by Manipal University (MU), Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech), Japan and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia on December 17 and 18, 2016 at the Tobata campus of Kyutech, Japan.

 

The conference will have keynote addresses by Professor Tomonori Tsukiya, Department of Artificial Organs, National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center Research Institute, Japan, Professor Dean Vucinic Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium, Associate Professor Dr Eddie Y. K. Ng Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Dr Mohamed Thariq Bin Haji Hameed Sultan Aerospace Engineering , UPM and Professor Kazuo Ishii, Graduate School of Life Science and System Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology.

 

Fifty papers and 16 posters in various computational domains of Engineering and Health Sciences will be presented by participants from across the world. The papers and posters have been selected from two earlier conferences, ICCMEH 2014 and ICCMEH 2015 held at Manipal University and UPM, Malaysia respectively.

 

In the present era of remarkable technological achievements in the computational domain, new techniques have been applied in the domain of Engineering and Health Sciences. There is increased necessity to solve complex problems in computational domains and obtain better results from the simulations that will be helpful to clinicians, stated a press release.

 

The two-day International Conference on Computational Methods in Engineering and Health Sciences (ICCMEH-2016) serves the purpose of bringing together Computational Scientists, Engineers and the medical fraternity from various interdisciplinary domains under a common forum. The latest technological advances will be shared through a series of keynote lectures and parallel presentations.

 

Professor Masaki Tamagawa, Kyutech, Professor Kamarul Arifin Bin Ahmed, UPM and Professor Raghuvir Pai, MU were the Chairpersons’ of the conferences held over the past three years.
