Sleuths seize container truck transporting cattle to Kasargod

Bantwal, 17 Nov 2016: The policemen from Vittal station seized a truck illegally transporting cattle in inhumane manner cramped up in a container, to Kerala, at Salettoor, on Wednesday, November 16.

 

 

The police rescued 9 she-buffaloes and 7 he-buffaloes that were found inside the container.

 

They also arrested Fatib (24), truck driver and resident of Nanjanagood, Rehman (34), resident of Hesoor – Beloor, Gopal Gowda (53), resident of Kallare – Koppalu. The cattle were bought from farmers at Hassan and was en route to abattoirs at Kasargod, Kerala. 

 

Vittal sub-inspector Prakash Devadiga, assistant sub-inspector Rukmaya Moolya, policemen Somashekar, Ramachandra, Jayakumar, Sanjeev, Sridar, Lokesh, Praveen Kumar, Umesh, homeguard Sanjeev were involved in this operation.
