ABVP sets up helpdesk at SBI branch, to help customers

Bantwal, 14 Nov 2016: Despite SMS from several PSU banks including private banks to the customers informing them that they can exchange their defunct Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes by December 30, people continued to queue up in front of the banks at B C Road, here on Sunday, November 13.

 

 

Meanwhile, nearly 50 activists of ABVP voluntarily set up help desk in front of the State Bank of India, B C Road, here on Sunday, in order to help the elderly, illiterate and frail customers queued up for exchanging their high value currencies. SBI provided them tables and chairs to do their task. 

 

The Bank ran short of new currencies inconveniencing the customers queued up to exchange their defunct notes. As ATM began functioning on Sunday afternoon, the customers rushed to the kiosks.
