Stany Alvares appointed as Gen Secretary of District Congress Committee

Mangaluru, 12 Nov 2016: Stany Alvares, young Congress activist and social worker was appointed as general secretary of Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) by district-in-charge minister and DCC president Ramanath Rai.

 

 

Stany is a parishioner of Bondel, here who is one amongst staunch Congress activists. His contributions in organizing party activities at his locality are considered for his appointment to key post.

 

He is the vice president of Mandd Sobhann, city-based Konkani organization striving to promote Konkani and its distinct culture worldwide. He is also active in Bondel parish council. He is a theater artiste, acted in both Konkani and Tulu movies. He is also involved in social welfare activities through different social welfare and voluntary organizations.
