DYFI protests to shut down skill games centers in Kuloor

Mangaluru, 22 Oct 2016: DYFI – Panjimogaru unit, here staged a protest at below the Kuloor flyover, here on Friday, October 21, to urge law enforcement agencies in order to shun down illegal skill game centers, in disguise of gambling dens operating in the neighbourhood of Kuloor.
Addressing the protesters, DYFI Dakshina Kannada district vice president B K Imtiyaz urged the police force to take appropriate actions on skill game centers that have become gambling dens.
DYFI Dakshina Kannada district president Dayanand Shetty said that Kuloor locality has turned into social evil because of skill game – gambling dens. Several families are driven into the street because of addiction to skill game. He urged the civic authorities to inspect the centers that are operating as skill game but are actually gambling dens.
DYFI Dakshina Kannada district secretary Santosh Bajal said that skill games are giving rise to criminal activities. He urged the city police commissioner to take stern action in this regard.
A memorandum was presented to assistant police commissioner to shut down skill games centers operating in Kuloor.
DYFI leaders Asha, Pramila, Sadiq, Usman, Ashok Sriyan, DYFI – Panjimogaru unit president Noushad, Anil D’Souza, Ibrahim Khaleel, Santosh, Charan, Niyaz, Basheer, Hanumanta, Riyaz and others were present.
