Udupi: Harvest festival held at Bantakal temple

Udupi, 16 Sep 2016: The celebration of filling the barn with new paddy was held by symbolically bringing the paddy sheaves at Sri Durgaparameshwari temple, Bantakal, near here on Thursday September 15.

 

 

The new paddy sheaves are brought from the field of B Ramachandra Prabhu, Belle, near here after offering the puja to the temple.

 

The Vedic celebrants B Ramanat Srinivas Bhat, K Vedavyasa Bhat, the temple governing council chairman Gampadabail Jayaram Prabhu, deputy chairman Palame Umesh Prabhu and others were present.
